It was more than two-decades before the Vagabond Lofts were built, that there was any major housing project completed in downtown Fresno. Developed as a partnership between the City of Fresno, Granville and Pyramid, the Vagabond Lofts set a new precedence for downtown Fresno. With 38 apartments, commercial space, three large-scale murals and a seemingly diverse group of residences, the Vagabond Lofts has been described as the pioneer building for the redevelopment of downtown Fresno.
